ocated in a 1200 SQ. foot live/work loft in beautiful downtown San Diego's East Village resides a very small company with really big ideas. Freshwater Designs, llc is a product design and development company committed to creating products from novel yet practical ideas since 2005. FreshWater Designs is also the creator of the Power Strapz, the most unique suspension trainer on the market today. It is exclusively licensed to SKLZ (Pro Performance Sports Co.) and can be found in Dick's Sporting Goods, Sports Authority and other major retailers nationwide.
I started this journey when I realized that everything that I own, is somebody else's product. I became very interested in learning the process of turning an idea into a tangible product. My design philosophy is to keep things simple. I believe that simplicity is the key to elegance... While other designers may add things to make a product work, I remove things... I really want each product that I design to be a masterpiece in minimalism... I think that philosophy is immediately apparent when you see both the Power Strapz and The Nail Bed. My product ideas come to me from daily observations of life. I'm able to freeze frame a moment then watch myself, as well as others do things; the moment is everything...
I truly enjoy being the driving force through the different phases of creativity. "The creative fight" is what I've heard it called. Changing a thought into something that people find useful is extremely rewarding.
